Bibi Gul – who’s name means beautiful flower – became sick with encephalitis when she was 7. Her family live in an Internally Displaced Persons camp in Afghanistan. They couldn’t afford treatment for Bibi until a development organisation made this special chair so she can get around the camp with the other children. Her smile says it all.
“Our ability to deal with children with disabilities is a yardstick of our ability to deal with all children” (Sir Peter Ustinov, UNCF Goodwill Ambassador; 1995).
