This group of mothers are getting practical advice about nutrition, food, hygiene and health for their children. Classes like these can help prevent the diseases and malnutrition that cause some disabilities and saves children’s lives.
The mortality of children with disabilities can be as high as 80%, even in countries where the overall under five mortality is below 20% (DCDD; 2006).
