Stolen limbs and livelihoods

Tith’s husband Chak lost his legs to a landmine. He then couldn’t get work and they were too poor to pay for an operation that Tith needed. Thanks to Australian support, Chak and Tith received a $50 small business loan to breed chickens, giving them an income and a chance to get the help they needed.

The Global GDP lost annually due to disability is estimated to be between $1.37 trillion and $1.94 trillion (Metts; 2000).
