ADDC is an Australian based, international network focusing attention, expertise and action on disability issues in developing countries; building on a human rights platform for disability advocacy.
Mission Statement
To promote the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities in development activities, advocating that disability be fully integrated into all Australian development programs and policies.
Objectives
- To be a collective voice in our region for awareness raising and lobbying on disability inclusive programs in developing countries.
- To ensure disability is integrated and mainstreamed into Australian development activities.
- To promote partnerships between Australian and international people and organisations working on inclusive development programs.
- To gather, develop and share expertise, resources and information on best practice in disability inclusion in developing countries.
To promote, support and monitor the implementation of key international and domestic agreements and initiatives that benefit people with a disability in developing countries.
