It is an essential part of everyday life and barriers preventing people with disabilities from accessing water and sanitation facilities can cause substantial stresses both for themselves as well as for care-takers or family members.

Access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation (WASH) is a human right. These essential services underpin human development and transform lives, enabling people to overcome poverty.
