We asked people what this annual day means to them...."It's a day to celebrate the work of Disabled People's Organisations in developing countries that are working hard to remind governments that people with disabilities have the same rights to access work, school, church and social and community life as everybody else."
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) was established in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly and is celebrated on 3 December each year. The day aims to promote awareness of disability issues and the talents and achievements of people with disability.
