International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) was established in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly and is celebrated on 3 December each year.The day aims to promote awareness of disability issues and the talents and achievements of people with disability.
This report provides information on the situation of persons with disabilities in the context of the MDGs and the implementation of the World Programme of Action and the efforts toward mainstreaming disability in development.
