ADDC Bulletin June 25th 2011
The Australian launch of the World Report on Disability was held as a luncheon in Parliament House in Canberra on June 21st 2011. ADDC and ACFID were privileged to have a group of prominent speakers at the event to share their insight on disability inclusive development. Speakers included (in order of appearance): Professor Ron McCallum AO - Chair of UN Committee on CRPD; Senior Australian of the Year Antoni Tsaputra- Australian Development Scholar recipient Hon. Kevin Rudd- Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Julie Bishop- Deputy Leader of the Opposition Senator Jan McLucas- Parliamentary Secretary for Disabilities and Carers Professor Mary Crock- Associate Dean (Postgraduate Research) & wife of Professor McCallum
