ADDC Practitioner Interest Forum – 11th April 2019

by ADDC · 20 Feb, 2019

UPDATE: Resources from this event are available from the Organisational Inclusion page.

Building Organisational Inclusion

‘Leave no one behind’ is more than a narrative for the current development environment; it is an imperative for success in programs, advocacy and organisational operations.

A key pillar of putting the principle ‘leave no one behind’ into practice is fostering inclusion within your own organisation. Our first Practitioner Interest Forum for 2019 will focus on practical strategies and resources to increase the participation of people with disability within your organisation, and will draw the links between inclusion and improved development outcomes.

Our discussions will focus on how your organisation can increasingly ‘walk the talk’ of disability inclusion covering a range of topics including internal inclusion, advocacy and inclusion, and programmatic inclusion. We will hear from representatives of a number of Australian aid agencies on their journeys to create change within their organisations as well as from experts from Australian Disabled Peoples Organisations on strategies to affect change within your team and across the whole organisation.
