Disability Focal Point network

ADDC is developing a Disability Focal Point network of small peer support groups to support individuals within Australian aid agencies who are working to create a barrier-free and more inclusive workplace.

Join a Disability Focal Point group

ADDC is developing a Disability Focal Point network of small peer support groups to support individuals within Australian aid agencies who are working to create barrier-free and more inclusive workplaces. A pilot peer support group will be established in June 2019, followed by broadening the network later in the year.

The peer support group will provide a space for participants to discuss strategies and ideas on building organisational inclusion, to share resources and talk about how to overcome challenges and barriers to inclusion.

If you are an advocate for disability inclusion within an Australian aid organisation, either as part of your official role or additional to it, you are invited to register your interest to be a part of the first group. The group will meet for 1-2 hours per month, with a longer session to launch the group and to review it in six months. The group will meet face-to-face or via an online forum depending on the location and preference of those interested.
