About

The Australian Disability and Development Consortium (ADDC) is a network of Australian-based agencies, organisations and individuals with an interest in disability-inclusive development within Australia and internationally.

Australian Disability and Development Consortium

ADDC is a collective voice calling for the inclusion of people with disabilities across the Australian international development sector through sharing expertise and advocacy. Formed in 2007, ADDC has over 200 registered members and over 400 subscribers to the monthly e-newsletter, the ADDC Bulletin. Our work includes advocacy to the Australian government to ensure disability-inclusive development remains a funded part of the Australian aid program as well as events and resources to support international development practitioners to incorporate disability-inclusive practices into their work.

Our mission: To promote the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in development activities, advocating that disability be fully integrated into all Australian development programs and policies.

ADDC is governed by an Executive Committee comprised of representatives from the Australian international development sector and Australian Disabled People’s Organisations. Representatives are elected every two years by ADDC members.
